Utilisation of RTRP Annual Scrapping Budget (Mar 2019 - Mar 2020)

For the year March 2019 to March 2020, the TRSA utilized 55,44% of its RTRP Annual Scrapping budget. The underspend can be attributed to a myriad of factors constraining the numbers of vehicles surrendered. Some of these factors are the lack of enforcement in respect of the project; the number of minibus taxis operating illegally, the provincial backlogs in issuing operating licenses; lack of unity and continuing volatile nature of the industry are some of the reasons confounding the efforts to arrive at a higher level of accomplishment.
